wet wet wet

it's wet today.

 really wet.

it hasn't stopped raining since saturday.  it's not going to stop raining any day soon.

 i managed to leave my lights on in my car (ethel) today while i was at work.  i don't know how, since ethel yells at me when i leave my lights on.  but i ignored her, and i paid for it.

 she refused to start for me when i wanted to go home.  her battery died.

but somehow i stayed calm.  mark, my fabulous manager, came out in the torrential downpour and jumped my car for me.  

and i managed to stay amazingly calm.  

soaking wet and cold, but calm.  ready to curl up in bed with joe, but calm.

it's a nice feeling, this calmness.
